   I've tried to get the plugins in WordPress to be visible, but I'm having trouble. After initial install, I noticed that the the stock "askimet" doesn't show up in the list.

   I've tried adding two or three different additional plugins to the wp-content/plugins directory, but I've had no luck.

   Any suggestions?

   are you doing anything special with your directory structure?

   http://www.timnewbill.com/wp-content/ <-- there ought to be something there besides that message.
