No ping to google and bing after publishing a post?

    HI i just installed all in one seo plugin and activated xml sitemap feature. After that i published a post & checked logs within xml sitemap setting page what i found that there is no ping to google and bing after publishing a post.

    So is it designed to not to ping after publishing the post? or there is any problem?

    i only see ping log when i manually click on “update setting” at xml sitemap setting page.

    Hi Sujeetdit,

    This is correct; once Google (or Bing) knows about your sitemap, it will continue to get recrawled, just like the rest of the internet, as will the rest of your site. As you have found, you may manually send another ping by having those boxes checked and clicking the update setting button, yes. However, note that this may not cause your site to get crawled any faster than it would take otherwise. The only reason to do this regularly is if you are using a static sitemap that needs to be regenerated, or if you actually update / modify / delete / reorganize a large number of pages on your site.
