No php queries work (6 posts)

I have no idea how to fix this, so I finally came here to get help.

On my index.php page, no php links work. For instance, if you click "No Comments," you don't get the comment box, you get redirected back to index.php. Same if you click anything that's a php query.. like "About" and "Catergories." Even "Recent Posts" links redirect to index.php..

Anyone have any idea what's going on? I just installed and everything else was working fine. I just have this problem.. weird..

Is this a new, empty install? I'd delete everything - including the DB tables and try to install a fresh download.

Ok, I did that. Unfortunately, the same problem exists. Even when I login as admin, it goes right to the directory (the white page with all the files listed) isntead of wp-admin/index.php... and then I have to click the link to get to index.php...

Do you know what's causing this? Drivin me nuts!

It sounds like your host may not support PHP. Are you sure they do? It's also possible that the server, for some reason, is not set to recognize index.php as a valid index file.

If you can give a link to the site, it would help us see what the problem looks like.

If s/he can click on index.php to get into the admin (and gets in) then PHP is running.

As justinbaeder said: tell your host to make index.php a valid index file! (what kind of idiot hosts are not doing that by default nowadays? ;)
