    Hi there,

My PAGES don't seem to allow for comments. My POSTS are fine, but even if 'allow comments' is checked when I create a PAGE, it doesn't seem to work. I'm very new at this, so I may be doing something basic.

    Any ideas?

This was answered just the other day, and there's a lot of answers found by doing a Forum search.

In essence, you have to have the comments stuff put into your page.php file.

    Thanks doodlebee,

Sorry - I asked too fast. I was searching on 'comments' instead of 'pages'.

It's there, in my previous post: you can click that link to see all kinds of forum responses/solutions. but basically, you need to place your comments call in your page.php file. By default, it doesn't have it - but you just have to copy it from your single.php file.

I'm having similar troubles (comments in static pages), and I tried putting the code from single.php into page.php. Am I placing the right code into it? I'm not even sure what the correct code to place would be.
