No organic keyword hits (3 posts)

Until December 2009, my blog was getting 60 to 70 hits a day, most of which were organic hits from keyword searches. Then the hits started to drop noticeably and consistently. I'm getting some traffic to my blog, but now it's all via referrals or direct traffic. I originally thought the decreased traffic was because I hadn't upgraded to the latest version of WP, but I upgraded last week, and the organic keyword traffic hasn't improved. (Google Analytics is working, because my direct and referred traffic is showing up.)

Any suggestions on what can be causing this lack of traffic? How can I get back on track? Is there a widget/plugin that I need? And if so, what would be the appropriate settings for it?

Could it be an issue with my host? (I think it's unlikely, since my blog is a subdirectory of my website, and my website is getting keyword hits...)

    Thanks!

Your website is just dropped the ranking in the search engines. Just check if all the pages are still indexed in Google or not. You can check your index page by searching site:yourwebsite.com in Google. There are many reasons for this dropping. If you are not using any sitemap plugin, I highly recommend you installing Google XML Sitemaps and All-In-One-SEO plugin.

Thanks. I have the All-In-One-SEO and the XML Sitemap Generator plugins. They've been active since I started my blog. However, I did just check my sitemap and got this error message:

Error loading stylesheet: An XSLT stylesheet does not have an XML mimetype:

I don't know what that means. Can that be causing the problem?

Also, I did do a Google search as you suggested. Many of my pages are showing up... some with the post title, some under archive dates, some with categories.

So I'm still stumped. I write my blog as a marketing tool for my business, so if I don't get organic hits, then it's a futile effort.

    Anyone else have ideas?

    Thanks!
