   Help -- for some reason no one has been able to comment on my site for about two weeks. I think this dates to the time I installed Akismet for spam (which I've just deactivated), but I'm not sure. I've gotten spam comments but no one else can comment. It may also date to the installation of Sociable.

   Under "Settings -> Discussion" it used to be set to "comment author must fill out name and e-mail," but I've now removed that check and nothing must happen before a comment can appear.

   On individual posts, under "Comments and Pings" it has both checked (i.e., comments are "Allowed.")

   Yet, no one can comment. Would this be something I screwed up in the Loop, possibly? Thanks. BTW, website is http://corporette.com if you want to check out the problem live.

   Hi -- fixed the problem myself. I was missing this line from my Main Index file:

   SUre enough, I was missing this line:

   <?php if(is_single() || is_page()) { comments_template(); } ?>

   which was supposed to go right between a similar line for
   "get_sidebar" and "get_footer"

   When I put it where it was supposed to go, though, the commenting block was showing up beneath the sidebar, which seemed wrong, so I switched the two lines (so the main index file calls the comments template, then the sidebar, then the footer), and all is right with the world.
