    Hello, Meta keywords and description are not showing in search results, neither for post nor for the main page.
    I made some investigation:
    – tested the plugins on two different blogs with two different themes, still not working
    – I read the forum posts on this topic but nothing helped
    – I have changed title to: <head>
    <title><?php wp_title(”); ?></title> />
    – I have this as well at the end: <?php wp_head(); ?>
    </head>
    – I have turned off all my plugins one by one the check whether that’s the problem.
    – I have turned off (deleted) all other seo plugins.

    What do I wrong? I know the problem is on my side, but what it is? Could you help please? Thanks

    Hi Bebu,

    first of all, it helps when you give a URL so we can look at it. Second, even when the description starts showing in your <head> section, it’ll take a while for Google to update it. And then, you’re still not 100% sure to be showing that description, for an explanation of that, taken from the FAQ:

    My meta descriptions aren’t showing up in the search result pages
    There are two possible issues with a meta description:

    1. You’re putting out more than one of them due to multiple plugins adding a description, for instance the WordBooker plugin adds a description too but has an option to disable it, other SEO plugins running might be another cause.
    2. You’re not seeing your meta description show up in the search result pages. Google will not alway show your meta description, the likelihood of your meta description appearing in the search results increases incredibly when your meta description contains the sought for keyword though, which is why the focus keyword functionality checks for the appearance of the focus keyword in the description.

    Hello, I have checked the FAQ section and the forum as well. The URL is: http://bebu.hu – sorry for missing it last time.
    My template has a SEO option, but I can turn it off and so do I. No other SEO plugins are in use. If I enter the same keywords and discription with an other SEO plugin, it works.
    Newertheless, I like your plugin because of the many features and the snippet preview, so I would be happy if I could use that one.
    I’m not familiar with htp language and development etc, but did everything to find a solution via the support forum.

    I made the settings of your plugin with help of the SEO for beginners tutorial, but still can imagine that I did something wrong.

    Anyway, thanks for the prompt response.

    Your template is showing a meta description from your theme and one from my plugin. You should make sure your template doesn’t output a meta description and meta keywords, because they’re higher up in the output that’s what Google will pick up now.

    A moment please, I turn off the template’s SEO.
    Done, now there should be only one description.

    Yes it’s displaying correctly now, now you’ll just have to wait for Google to pick it up.

    Hello Yoast, I am having the same problem.
    http://Gridironexperts.com
    I have taken all the same steps as listed above. I see using SEO quake toolbar that my meta tags and description is working yet it isn’t showing in Google. I have waited a week since making all the suggest updates, do you think maybe my site just needs more time to be crawled?

    Thanks
