I don't know what happened. I was logged in as admin and looking to see how I could get rid of the default 'blogroll' there - and getting confused because in the 'widgets' it didn't show as blogroll being there at all... and while I was there I checked 'anyone can post message' or something similar and I got out... and I went to look at the blog...
and there's no prompt for logging in! I can't control it any more. Can't administer it. Because I can't log in. Can't make a post....
What to do???
I would access your admin panel through your web host if you can. Usually there is a unique url link for your admin section. If you can access your admin section you want to add a "meta" widget to one of your side bars. The log in's usually are located in within Meta tags. From there, you should have a "Log In" option on your blog home page
I hope this helps

I can get to cpanel okay, of course, and peruse all the directories... but I wouldn't have a clue about unique urls for the admin. Could you give me some idea what it might be like? domain/blog/admin ? something like that?

thank you... got it! I'm using the kubrick or whatever it is, the default... add a meta widget? i'll try... thanks for you help
should work, I ran into a similar issue last year when I started WB. But still having the same issue for a year now and now I am thinking of moving to another program. B2 Evolution.
Try yourdomain.com/wp-admin/ or yourdomain.com/wordpress/wp-admin/ or yourdomain.com/blog/wp-admin/ depending on where you installed WordPress.

It is okay for me. As I said in my last post jpauch's suggestion did the trick. I'm so slow it took a while for me to figure out that all I needed to do to find the URL was look in my directories on the server - duh!
So I was happy.
But jpauch now says he's having the same issues ( losing the login ability? ) still, after a year... !
That worries me a bit. Is there something wrong with WordPress? Surely not. It is so widely used...
I'm really not clear on what jpauch's problem is.
If it was a WordPress issue happening for the past year, I'm sure that it would have been fixed by now.
