• I had an existing WordPress.com blog that I just transitioned to a self hosted blog with GoDaddy. I have purchased a ProPhoto template and am trying to install/upload the theme. I had read a million instructions and they all point to Appearances/themes and then I’m supposed to click on the “install themes tab”. It’s supposed to be on the same page as the “manage themes” tab but it’s not there! Any suggestions?

  • I am not sure that I can help here, but I will try.

In the dashboard, go to Appearance -> Themes.

Once you are there, you will see two tabs.

    Manage Themes | Install Themes

    Click on Install Themes.

Once that tab has loaded, you are loaded on the search section. If you look right above the search box, you will see a link called Upload. Click on that. You should be able to upload your theme from that point on.

If you’re not seeing the “Install Themes” tab like this:

…then I’d guess your domain name is not yet pointing to your new GoDaddy hosting, but instead still points to your old WordPress.com blog.

Have GoDaddy help configure your domain name if you are stuck. Otherwise, be sure to submit your ProPhoto questions on our site instead of here on the WordPress.org forum – contact form on our site:
