No images anywhere

I have installed WP 2.2 (twice, actually) to my host. No images show up in Admin, on the actual blog, nothing! My themes that include images don’t work either. I checked the server and the image files are there (and where they should be) and visible if I call them individually from my browser. So I know it’s not an FTP problem.

Any ideas?
