So here's the story... not sure if ANY of this helps but perhaps it might shed some light on this issue I'm having.

I recently switched my permalink settings on accident which totally shut down my entire site. I tried manually rewriting the .htaccess file however my host told me I didn't have proper permissions. I then tried to tweak the permissions for the file... and still it would not let me rewrite it.

Now I have just installed the latest version of WP and all the pages of my site are active... except for the homepage. I have also updated, deactivated, and re-activated all of my plugins since upgrading WP.

I found a lot of posts talking about deleting either an index.html or home.html file in my directory because it might be conflicting with my index.php but can not seem to find either of them. I have absolutely no clue how to fix this! Any help would be sincerely appreciated! http://www.wickedsquidproductions.com (homepage) http://www.wickedsquidproductions.com/mobile-recording-studio

can check your theme options go to customize option on theme page and check if you have a static front page enabled for your website.

Do you have a backup of your site? If so, it seems it would be better to reinstall the latest version of WordPress and restore your site.
