No FTP Programme will connect.

    Hi everyone,

    I’m totally lost and a beginner with self-hosting, so hoping this is just be being stupid and getting stuck on an issue that’s easy to fix!

    I’m trying to link the FTP programme I have on my PC to my C Panel, hosted with HostPapa.

    I’ve tried Core FTP, Flash XFP and Filezilla but nothing works. The error I’m getting is that the connection to the server has been refused.

    I’ve allowed all programmes through my firewall.

    Check with your hosting company. If you have all of the connection detials correct (double-check this as it’s easy to make a spelling mistake) then they might have something blocked at the server side. Normally cPanel is pretty easy to conenct to, but there’s always exceptions depending on how each host sets up their servers.
