I have installed BBPress, but “Forums” did not appear as an option on my WordPress Dashboard menu, on the left.
I assumend it was a conflict with WP Forum Server, which I had tried out – and couldn’t get working -.
I uninstalled BBPress and re-installed it – all from the WP “Add New” Plugins page.
Still no “Forums” in my menu!
    HELP? 🙁
    Thanks.

I just tried the “exclusion diet” trick – eliminating everything and reintroducing one at a time -and found that Connections was the cause. Is this a known conflict?
Connections is an excellent plugin and I can’t ditch it now, but I’d hate having to run a separate BBS.. anyone know of a fix?
    Thanks again! 🙁 🙁

I can guarantee that bbPress and Connections doesn’t have a conflict. I run the two together on a few sites including my primary site where I use bbPress for the support forums. I’ve helped many in the support forums on other issues where they had bbPress running without any issue.

What the issue might be and why bbPress doesn’t show up, but I have a hunch it is the theme. Does the theme add custom post types like for sliders/portfolio/testimonials and such?
