• I’ve checked my files and have all the files I need in my wp-includes folder and all… but I can’t get the “flash uploader” to work. I just see the “You are using the Browser uploader.” text… I don’t see any option to turn on the Flash uploader.

I’ve turned off plug-ins, looked at other solutions, and nothing has worked yet.

    Anyone else had this problem?

I don’t see any option to turn on the Flash uploader.

If WordPress detects that your system doesn’t have Flash installed at all, or otherwise detects a system that it knows it won’t work on, then it doesn’t give you the option there.

If it does detect Flash installed, then it will say “You are using the Browser uploader. Try the Flash uploader instead.”

    Well, I have Flash installed.

This works on all 100 of the other websites I use WP on… just this one it doesn’t work.

The type of system that the server is running makes a difference too.

One example that comes to mind is if you are using a browser on a Mac and the server has mod_security enabled. That combo fails, for some reason.

Noelgreen, I am having the same problem. Did you find a solution?
