    Hi,

    I'm not seeing any RSS. No blogroll, no RSS on the admin dashboard page, RSS widget doesn't work.

    Is this common?

    What are the simple things to check first with this sort of problem?

    I have been struggling with this for a week now. No progress.

    I have installed WP (2.2.2) on another OpenBSD 4.1 box with no problems. RSS is retrieved and shown properly.

    I am running WP 2.2.2

    on an OpenBSD 3.8 machine

    running php v 4.4.0

    and mysql v 4.0.24p1

    @adamrbrown,

    thanks for the idea. i have seen that thread.

    i'm not convinced the network is the problem in this case. but i suppose it is possible. we're on a campus network, and there are very few restrictions on this part of the network.

    so far:

    pointed the RSS widget to valid .rss file on the local server.

    pointed custom scripts to valid .rss file on the local server.

    pointed rss widget to feed on campus.

    no luck.

    I'm not getting the WordPress Development Blog or any of the Incoming Links on the Admin dashboard. An error with rss_fetch function?
