There is no captcha support on the backend.

Registration via wp-login.php has a limited feature set because that is not the intended usage of the plugin (something I mentioned over here: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/fos?replies=18#post-4877516 ). In fact, it never used to be supported at all – setup required disabling of WP native registration. The ONLY reason I added it was due to support requests for people who did not bother to read the installation instructions.

The plugin is flexible and can be used in ways other than those via the recommended setup. However, there are limits. The plugin description and the installation instructions indicate what the recommended setup and usage are. I can’t really support issues outside of that.

Ideally, yes. But it appears to me that what you want is an entire site lockdown that doesn’t let the user see anything unless they are registered and logged in. You can do that with this plugin but it’s more troublesome than using a plugin that is intended to do that.

This plugin is designed to drive registration conversion to view premium content, not to do site lockdown. The philosophy of the plugin is that users are funneled to “teaser” content and then presented an opportunity to register (or login if they are already a user). If that’s not what you want, you might have better luck with a different plugin. Otherwise, maybe take some time and go through the Quick Start Guide to get the plugin setup and get a feel for how it works .

You don’t necessarily have to have a specific registration page because the plugin will automatically put a registration form in the place of blocked content.
