[resolved] No email after unsubscribing and user settings not changed (7 posts)

    I'm using the Subscribe2 widget pro for an unsubscribe page at http://compass-design.co.uk/type-academy/unsubscribe/

    However when I enter the email address of a subscriber no email is received and the settings for the user don't change in the Subscribe2 subscribers settings screen.

    Please help.

    Hi there - can you verify your WordPress is properly sending emails? http://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-smtp/

    Are new sign ups receiving their emails? Are you testing with your admin account?

    Hi Devin, thanks for the quick reply! I've just added a new user to the site and the email notification worked fine. And no, I'm not using my admin account to test - a dummy user account.

    Hmm, I just tested and it appears working fine from my end. I received both the subscribe and unsubscribe emails.

    Thanks for testing it, but I'm a bit confused - I haven't enabled the subscribe button so not sure how you managed to do that? (It's still not working for me although I did receive notifications relating to you)

    Have you tried it without being logged in to your admin account?

    I've released version 1.2.5 which addresses a number of issues related to subscribing. Please try updating and testing. For now, I'm marking this thread as resolved. Thanks!
