I have recently been hacked and managed to rollback my site. I can see my phpadmin files but when I try to login through the dashboard the only menu on the left is dashboard and profile - nothing else. I have done a clean install and reinstalled up to date plugins. I have installed wordfence on my server and looked at wp-capabilities meta value -
    a:1:{s:13:"administrator";s:1:"1";} user level 10.

Very confused, dont want to mess the site up as it is visible, but I cannot administer through the dashboard as there are no controls!!!

    Please help - http://www.hotel-et-dodogne.com

    Many thanks

Do you have a backup of the website?

If so then you can go to cpanel and erase the entire websites content.

Then you can go to the backup wizard in cpanel and reload it on to the website.

    Hello

Thank you for your quick reply. I installed from the backup and my website is up and running it is just the dashboard items that are missing. Because of the hack I deleted the user and added new through the database.I have reinstalled the files as suggested on this forum. Everything is working but the dashboard. This is a multisite - not sure where to go from here.

    Thanks

    Linda

Because of the hack I deleted the user and added new through the database.

And that may well be the very thing that has caused your current problem. Did you work your way through these resources?

    Hi Esmi

Yes I have done all of the above with the help of my hosts, everything had now moved to a new server. I have manually installed wordfence. Not sure where to look next!

I have just changed he wp debug to true in the config file and tried to logon again. Now I am getting:-

You attempted to access the "" dashboard, but you do not currently have privileges on this site. If you believe you should be able to access the "" dashboard, please contact your network administrator.

How do I change the privileges with no dashboard?

    Many thanks

    Linda
