[resolved] No comments count on Homepage (13 posts)

I don't know what's causing this. But the comment count on the homepage of the website stays on 0 for everything.

However, when I visit a post or page, the comment count shows the actual values.

Is this something that's being caused by my theme or the plugin?

example can be seen here: Black Ops 2 Info

Your homepage shows me the jetpack mobile theme, i believe there is something wrong with your configuration, i'm not able to see your homepage with Chrome.

Thank you for the heads up mdogano. Don't know why the hell Jetpack would show the mobile theme on desktops. Guess I have to disable that for now.

I've deleted the cache, so that you should see the desktop theme in case you want to have another look at it.

Your homepage shows the comment count of your wordpress themes comment system, but your post page shows the facebook comment count.

So you need to edit your homepage file to change that, or you need to suggest to the developer to do that automatically with the next release.

mdogano, that could explain the 0 comments on the posts. But how does that explain the 0 comments on the sidebar section?

the same, when at the homepage its not calling the fb:comments-count function, but it does at single page. I dont know the proper function to call it. Thats all i can say, you need to wait an answer from the developer or someone with more knowledge. Sorry m8.

the Facebook plugin was only attaching to comments_number filters on a single post view. I moved these filters to apply to all webpage contexts if the comments box is enabled for one or more post types.

the change will be included with the next version of the plugin

I just released a new version of the plugin which should address this issue. Please try it out and let me know if it works well for you.

Just updated the plugin and it looks like it did the trick. Works just fine now.

I'm actually having the same problem. Don't know if you can look into it, Niall.

I've updated the plugin and am not seeing a respective update in the counts for comments.
