No comments available with events plugin (or anywhere else)

    In the Disable Comments plugin settings, I have only “Pages” checked — nothing selected on the Settings page except “Pages”. However, it appears that I don’t have comments available anywhere.

    On the edit pages for both Pages and Posts, there is no Comments section.

    I have The Events Calendar plugin installed. “Events” is UN-checked in my Disable Comments settings. The checkbox option to “allow comments” is present on the event edit page, but it doesn’t work. If I check ‘allow comments’, they are not enabled on the event web page.

    It doesn’t seem like the Disable Comments plugin is supposed to work this way?
