    I'm trying to customize the widget's appearance, but nothing I do to custom.css helps! I've tried even the simplest code like

    .widget_twitter a {
    color: red;
    }

    but the widget still looks the same... Do I need to fix something else? I'm using the Events v 2 template from templatic.com.

    Not sure where you've put custom.css, but are you loading that into your theme somewhere?

    The template I'm using places it in Appearance -> Editor -> custom.css. I've been able to make other modifications to the site using the custom.css (I changed the appearance of the "Contact 7" widget that way), so I know that the file itself works.

    Can you link to your site?

    Sadly I can't, since I haven't connected a domain name to the site yet.

    The IP address is 198.187.29.2 and I could provide screenshots, if that'd help.

    Sorry, there's not much I can do without seeing the HTML/CSS to see why it's not applying.
