Pheeeeew ! One hour and a half looking for what I thought would be a rather "basic plugin" and nothing.

I am currently editing my own theme and would like to have the PHP code "highlighted" in the back-end.

All i could find was a pretty old and far from perfect code editor (http://anetech.eu/power-code-editor/)

On the other hand, in case i wish to PUBLISH code on my blog, well, i can choose among a trillion plugins.

ALAS, this is NOT what i want.

    PLEASE :

how can I highlight the code INSIDE my editing window ? What plugin should I use ? Is there any good one ?

Why not download your theme files via FTP and then use the text editor of your choice? This has the added benefit of allowing you to make backup copies of 'work in progress'.

I found the right extension :

    It is called "enable codepress"
    http://www.itsananderson.com/plugins/enable-codepress/

    But thanks for the tip.
