• I just downloaded wordpress 2.8.1 and set it up. But I can’t config Widgets at all. The page is plain and no button. Can’t drag or move as indicated on the page. Does any one have the same issue?

  • Maybe there is something wrong with the theme. Go in appearance and select another theme and see what happens.

I have two theme with the package and I tried both theme. They end up the same in the Widgets page. I can’t figure out why. I followed advice to add /widgets.php?message=updated and still don’t see any differences.

Are you sure that the themes you are using support dynamic sidebars?

    What themes are you using?

    Hi,

    Check with these options:

    1. Generally, it is due to the plugins which creates this kind of problem….so you can either deactivate all plugins from database and reactivate one-by-one to find culprit…or rename the Plugins directory via FTP.

    2. From wordpress admin area -> Appearance-> Widgets under Screen options, try the Enable Accessibility Mode.

    3. Delete or refresh the browser cache.

    Thanks,

    Shane G.
