I recently installed WordPress and then added a new theme. After working fine last night, this morning, I cannot access any part of the site at all, including /admin section. In Chrome browser, I get: "The website encountered an error while retrieving http://www.eyalbitton.com/wp/admin. It may be down for maintenance or configured incorrectly."
Last night, everything worked fine as I was creating pages and tweaking things here and there. This morning, nothing. Any clues?
Try:
- switching to the Twenty Eleven theme by renaming your current theme's folder inside wp-content/themes and adding "-old" to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.
- resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.
- re-uploading all files & folders - except the wp-content folder - from a fresh download of WordPress.

Thank you, esmi. I've done the first two steps (and no change yet) but I'm not sure how to upload specific folders from a new download of WordPress. In my host's control panel, I can install a whole new WordPress but I can't specify which folders to download.
You will need to use FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.
