Installed the plugin, then went and purchased an add-on so I could use the landing page as a homepage, as it looked really good.

Started work on designing the looks before putting it as the homepage, and found that the content editors were particularly twitchy, refusing to add line breaks, which I had to add manually.

Never did find the Call to Action button (the youtube loader template)

I then started receiving calls saying that all the site navigation had disappeared. Plugin uninstalled, fed up of the hassle, all back to normal.

Probably the worst configured plugin in the world.

    Hey Steve,

Sorry for the troubles you are having.

"content editors were particularly twitchy" - Was this on the frontend editor or in the main admin view?

What "Call to Action button (the youtube loader template)" are you referring to? Not sure what you mean there.

On landing pages (default template) the navigation is automatically removed. You can toggle this option off though.

We'd like to sort out these issues for you.

    Thanks for the feedback,
    David

The twitchy content editor was in the admin dashboard,

There was no Call to Action (or SUBMIT) button - just an option to edit the colours.

I did not notice a toggle for keeping navigation restored.

Also - it became rather like a lottery as to whether the youtube background worked, or a plain grey background would take it's place.

To insert a call to action or a form you would need to use a form plugin or a call to action/button plugin. The landing page plugin simply creates the landing page and A/B testing functionality. We don't build forms, there are other plugins that already rock at building forms.

We recommend gravity forms or ninjaforms (http://wordpress.org/plugins/ninja-forms/) for form tools. For buttons, I'd suggest checking out http://wordpress.org/plugins/maxbuttons/

Sorry for the template troubles. The youtube template is dependent on the Youtube API and sometimes it doesn't register the video. We are actually planning on phasing out the youtube background video template because of this.

Curious to know how was the editor is twitchy? We'd like to try and replicate this issue to see if we can fix it.

Thank you again for your feedback steve!

The Call to Action button is a workaround I suppose, if a form is needed to activate it, but I wasnt planning to place a form on the homepage, just a button to enter the site - to which end, a link will do just as well.

You mentioned that the site navigation could be toggled back on?

You can place a form or a call to action button/graphic in the conversion area and we will track the conversions.

Is your sites navigation gone on every page when you activate landing pages or just on the landing page?

    The whole site navigation disappears.

    On every page.

Thats why I was getting calls to say that the site navigation had disappeared.

I was not concerned with the nav not being on the landing page, as I had placed a link to enter the main site.

But on entering the site, there was no navigation.

So - in your first reply, you said that the nav could be toggled on/off - how do you do that?

The plugin shouldn't be effecting any of your other pages.

Can you please fill out this form: http://inboundnow.com/landing-pages/advanced-support

And we can take a deeper look at the problem. It could be a conflict with your theme, another plugin, or incorrect loading of javascript files.

We will need to see the backend to figure out and fix this =)

When I activate 'Landing Pages', all the site nav disappears.

When I de-activate 'Landing Pages', the site nav comes back.

I cannot afford to be messing about with a plug-in that renders the site useless.

I asked how you toggle the nav on/off, which according to your first reply, is an option:

"On landing pages (default template) the navigation is automatically removed. You can toggle this option off though."

So is there not an option to toggle the option after all?

If I tried toggling the nav, we could then dismiss that as one of the problems.

There is an option to toggle on/off navigation on Landing page custom post types for the default template.

Our code doesn't run on other wordpress pages which leads me to believe that something else on your site is causing the issue.

The landing page plugin only runs if the page is a custom post type "landing-page"

I'm sure we can figure out the issue. We need temporary access to take a look though.

What theme are you using? Is it on the thesis theme framework?

Sorry, but I'm not going to be giving out our login and ftp details to anyone, not even God!

For info, we're using MyFolio from Themeforest, which has a fop nav bar, which disappears when Landing Pages is activated.

Very well. I'm sorry it is not working for you.

We have an update coming out in a couple of days. I will post here when its up.

We are unable to reproduce the issues you are having and can't help any further without looking at the underlying code.

    Have a good day.
