NGG 2.0.11 causing issues with SlideDeck 2

Recently upgraded to NGG 2.0.11 and have been having issues with the interaction with SlideDeck 2 from Digital Telepathy.

I’m using SD2 for a featured posts slider on the home page. With NGG enabled, the slider will not advance through the slides. Examining page source shows the proper divs for all 4 featured posts.

The key differences between the pages loaded with and without NGG enabled are the following lines added by NGG …

All other differences are related to unique ID’s generated by SD2 for the slide deck instance.

Different theme, sd + ngg installed: same issue.

I have Slidedeck & NextGen installed and recognize the same issues here. No slide animation and the navigation has disappeared, too.

Same issue, several sites.

Versions – WP 3.6 , Genesis 2.0 , SD2 2.3.3 & NG 2.0.11

Submitted ticket to DT Labs, awaiting response…

Seems to be NGG, rolled back to version 2.0.7 but issues remain, cannot advance slides

We released a new version of NextGEN Gallery today, has anyone seen this persist with the latest version (2.0.14)?

If you are still having problems and it appears this is obviously not an isolated case, could you visit our bug reporting page here: http://www.nextgen-gallery.com/report-bug/ and possibly provide you site login details for the support team and/or developers to have look at what might be causing this?

Before I rolled back I upgraded to 2.0.14 and issues still causing Slidedeck to fail.

Will do bug report first chance I get.

Looks like NGG is off the hook…had chance to test and in console found errors in /slidedeck-personal/js/jquery.easing.1.3.js

Changed Slidedeck settings Playback to Slide and navigation functions.

Will submit to SD2 techs hopefully for a quick fix.

2.0.17 does not solve this behavoir.

I am having the same issues. This is error I’m getting:

When I disable the NGG plugin the errors are gone.

@perrodin – Thanks for sharing those error messages and your observation they occur when NextGEN is activated. These errors appear to be pointing to slidedeck as well. Have you shared your findings with them, too?

They may find them as useful as we would.

This is what Bradley from Slidedeck had to say about this a couple of weeks ago:

It looks like you have NextGEN installed and activated – currently there are known issues with NextGEN that break JavaScript related things all over. If you visit the NextGEN page on the WordPress repo, you’ll see many users are still reporting it broken: http://wordpress.org/plugins/nextgen-gallery/

First and foremost, I would recommend testing with NextGEN disabled. If that doesn’t work though, go through the steps outlined in this post to locate or eliminate the possibility of a conflict: http://dtelepathy.zendesk.com/entries/21503102-SlideDeck-2-misbehaving-Start-here-

Just tried 2.0.27 and works…sort of…

Cannot advance slides in admin but when published and viewing on a page it works…until you add the responsive shortcode ress=1 then it stops working…
Using SD 2.3.3 and Playback settings cross fade & medium ease
