NGG 2.0 Random Shortcode Broken?

    I just upgrade and the random shortcode still displays images, however the number of images is now completely random. I have max=8 and sometimes I get 8, but sometimes when I load the page I get only 3 images.

    Here is the shortcode I’m using:
    [random max="8" id="1"]
