I am getting the following problem
gallery002.jpg (Error : Exceed Memory limit. Require : 32.39 MByte)
I am using Chrome and I have also cleared the cache.
Also in the overview I get
Check plugin/theme conflict
No conflict could be detected
Test image function
Couldn't create image, check your memory limit
Check theme compatibility
Missing the call to wp_head() in your theme, contact the theme author

Ok the thumbnails work. Now I get this when I upload a new gallery in a zip..
IMG_4856.jpg (Error : Unknown file format)
Never used to get these problems. And also the its still saying the wp_head() is missing when its in the header.php for the theme.
It sounds like one of your images isn't actually a .jpg file but you might be better off asking these question in the dedicated forum for the NextGen plugin..

humm strange they where saved in photoshop as .jpg. It must be a problem with 3.3 as I have another site on 3.2.1 and it doesn't have any problems.

I had same issue issue with wp3.3 and nextgen 1.9.1, and then I tried with wp3.3 and nextgen 1.9.0 and able to add zip files with out any issue.
