• I am using NextGen galleries on my site, generally with great success. I save each gallery page under the Gallery page I created for the site. I found that those pages automatically become text links under a “subpages found” header on the gallery page, even when I set up thumbnail albums. When I set each of those pages to private, the text links go away, but the thumbnails remain and work beautifully.

Last night, I added a new gallery. I don’t want it to display with the other galleries, so I set it to private. But, when I linked this particular gallery in a blog post, the link would go to a 404 page not found. Since it was not originally assigned to an album, I created one and moved the gallery into it, just so it would have a home. This made no difference. It seems that the only way for this page to display is to NOT have it be marked private. At least the text link appears below everything else on the gallery page.

Why would this happen? Why would this one page – created the same as all of the others but just not included in a displayed album – be so cranky?

http://whalegeek.com/gallery is the link. I’d like to take the text link off the gallery and still have it work as a regular linked-to page. Any thoughts?

    TIA
