NextGen images losing quality once uploaded (3 posts)

Can anyone tell me if nextGen resamples images when viewing? I am trying to figure out why all my images look slightly blurry once uploaded. They have been made at exactly the right size, I have optimised them so they look good but the file size is not too large in photoshop but when I upload them into NextGEN they soften and look slightly out of focus - not good for a graphic design portfolio! The strange thing is that when I save them off the website back to my desktop and check they are sharp again in photoshop.

This is driving me nutty trying to figure out - would really appreciate some help on this.

    Thanks.
