NextGen Gallery Voting : problem with stars (8 posts)

I've got another problem with the new version of NextGen Gallery Voting.

Under IE 8 and 9, there is two rows of stars which are appearing instead of only 1.

This strange bug isn't there under FireFox and Safari.

The problem is that on these 2 rows, the users can only vote on 1, the first row isn't clickable at all.

    See what's happening here :

So, it complicates the understanding of the voting system.

Will it be possible to rectify this bug soon ?

It would be very helpful for everyone who use this great plugin.

I can't replicate the problem on my test installs, using IE 9. Does it happen for the other types of voting?
Also, try the default theme, and see if it still happens.

That will help me narrow it down.

It doesn't happen for the 2 others types of voting.

Only the Star Ratings seems to be affected.

The problem is still there with the wordpress default theme.

I am using NextGen Gallery v1.9.0 maybe it will help to replicate the bug ?

The first row seems to be the voting results (it shows the average of votes).

The second row may be use by users to vote.

The strange thing is that the bug is only appearing on IE, with FireFox and Safari the votes and the results are merged in only 1 row.

As I said, I do not get it on my test installation. The only thing I could think of is a CSS conflict, but the fact you say it still happens when you use the default them is weird.

I will try look in more detail when I get some time.

    Hi Shauno,

I really need this bug to be rectified.

It's essential cause all my website is founded on a voting principle.

Here is a page where you can see the problem :

(As you'll see, I've just replaced the stars by some ...exotic stuffs).

    Thanks for your help.

Your site's content makes me want to look for longer than I normally would help :)

Can you copy and paste your gallery template to http://pastebin.com/ and send me the link.

Got it. It seems you have the tag inside the <a> that wraps the image. Move it out the <a> and it should look as expected.
