nextgen-gallery not linking to specified page ID (3 posts)

I've set up an album with 3 galleries, and have created pages for each gallery, and set the page ID for each gallery in Manage Gallery. The problem I'm having is that when I click on a gallery in the album, it does not go to the page specified by the page ID, but goes to the in the format portfolio/?album=4&gallery=12. If I manually type in the url in the format portfolio/print, it shows the same content.

The problem (besides an ugly url) is that I have widgets that I've specified to appear only on the portfolio pages, using the Widget Logic plug-in. So the widgets appear on portfolio/print, but not on portfolio/?album=4&gallery=12.

I've tried setting permalinks in nextgen-gallery, but all that did was break the links to all of the individual images.

Am I missing something here? Is there a way to have the album link go to the page as specified by the page ID?

Would setting up a canonical redirect address this?

edit your template file and change the href link to <?php echo get_permalink($gallery->pageid); ?> so it would look like <a class="Link" href="<?php echo get_permalink($gallery->pageid); ?>">
