You probably have added the voting tag inside the <a> that wraps the image. Make sure you have the voting tag OUTSIDE of the <a>.

Let me know if you need anything else 🙂

Thanks for your quick reply shauno!

You are right! Now it’s ok! 🙂

Let me ask you another one question. Do you know how to add the voting option while on slideshow mode?

Thanks a lot and congrats for the amazing plugin!

NGG v2 uses the /wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/products/photocrati_nextgen/modules/nextgen_basic_gallery/templates/slideshow/index.php template to show the slideshow.

You can add the voting tag to that template, and the voting will work. The problem is it loads hidden, because of NGG’s default CSS. I found that if I removed the .ngg-slideshow overflow:hidden rule, the voting then showed. I just played around with my browsers debug tools to find that rule, but I would understanding why the overflow rules exists, and creating a proper solution in your theme’s css to get the voting displaying.

Hey shauno and thanks for your reply.

I’m using Version 1.9.13 of NGG. Is it possible to add the voting option while on slideshow mode?

Also i’m getting “There was a problem saving your vote, please try again in a few moments.” Please help me!

    Thanks!

Unfortunately the slideshow isn’t templated in v1.9 of NGG. It also loads the images entirely with javascript from what I remember, so I don’t think it’s possible to show the voting there correctly.

Are you using the latest version of NGG Voting? If you use the Premium add-on, make sure you also have the latest version of that. If all your versions are up to date, and you still have the voting error, is there a URL I can check to see the problem?

    Thanks for your reply shauno!

I’m using NGG Voting Version 2.6.1 and NGG Voting Premium Version 1.4.1
I don’t have a notification for an update so i suppose that i have latest versions.

You can access my website only by logging in because is on maintenance mode. So i just sent you an email on shaunalberts AT gmail DOT com for login credentials.

    Thanks

The premium add on is at version 1.6. Because it’s sold through CodeCanyon, unfortunately it doesn’t support WordPress’ update notification. Just login to your CodeCanyon account, and go to your downloads page, and you will be able to get the latest version. Overwrite your current version with the latest, and everything will go back to working 🙂

Let me know if you still have problems

    Thanks shauno! 🙂
