Nextgen Gallery – centering slideshow images

Regarding Nextgen gallery –
Anyone know how to center the images in a slideshow?I have the slideshow itself centered, but the images are different widths (same height). So a wide image appears to be centered, but the next image, a narrower one, floats to the left… Any suggestions? I have been messing with the CSS for a while now and nothing seems to work.
Here’s what I’m working on:
http://www.architecturalscience.com/firewaterand yes I know the autoplay music is extremely annoying. I tried to talk her (the lady I’m building this for) out of it, but she insists *sigh*

Did you find a solution for this problem? I’m having the same issue.
No, I never did find a solution..
From what I gather, the registration point for the images are part of the slideshows actual flash (.swf) file, the registration point being the upper left corner of the image.. To fix/change the registration point it would require an edit to the source flash file (.fla) which I don’t think is available.I searched high and low, but if you happen to find or figure something out, it would be swell if you posted it here.. Until then I guess we have to live with it 🙁
Yeah, well… that’s not acceptable. Off to look for another solution.
I too am looking for a solution. Trying to play around with jQuery. However, I am a novice.
I can center a vertcal image inside the slideshow by going to the jquery.cycle.all.min.js file and replacing “absolute” with “relative”. But vertical alignment is tricky with horizontal images. I don’t want to use table-cell because IE has issues with it.
So I think jquery must be the answer. I’m not sure how to go about it. But I think I’ll have to edit the ngg.slideshow.js file to add a style class for all horizontal images to a certain top margin.
I will post here when I find a solution.
