   Hi All,
   I understand you can add a NextGen Gallery to a page by simply adding the gallery/slideshow id to a page within wp-admin, however I would like to know if I can actually hardcode a gallery, say, into the header.php file so I can position it exactly where I want. At the moment, by adding [slideshow id=x] to a file, I simply have "[slideshow id=x]" displayed.
   Is this possible ?

   Yes you can.

   <?php echo do_shortcode('[slideshow id=x]'); ?>
