NextGen Gallery and qTranslate now working?

Hello all,

I have been looking for an answer to this question but have not been succesful so far. There are many fairly old pages on this topic describing neccessary hacks, and then there is this NGG changelog

where it says under V1.2.0
“* NEW : Support for i18n with polyglot or qtrans plugin (THX to Boris Glumpler)”

Can anyone confirm if those two great plugins (NextGEN Gallery and qTranslate) now work together WITHOUT any hacks required?
