Hi, I have been using Nextgen-gallery for a year and updated my plugin to version 1.6.0. My nextgen button under "posts/add new" is not showing therefor i can't add a gellaery to a post.

Check your Plugins menu, it is possible that it has been disabled when you updated it.

Posted 1 year ago #I activated the plugin again after the update and have deactivated and activated it again when I saw it was not working.

Ok, have just installed the pluging to familirise myself with it -
I have version 1.6.1. With yours, are you getting the 'Gallery' meny appear underneith the 'Settings' menu? If you are, that means the plugin is active. When I add a Post I am being shown a little icon, but it's only in the 'Visual' editor, not the 'HTML' editor.
Can you confirm that a) your have the 'Visual' editor selected and b) that you are looking within the editor for the button, and not out side (not used this plugin before, so don't know if the position of the button has perhaps changed?).

Posted 1 year ago #Mine has a 'gallery menu' below the 'settings' menu. When opened it allows different options. In the plugin menu it says version 1.6.1..I mentioned 1.6.0 earlier I see. When I add a post it is in the 'visual editor' and still there is no icon. This is rather frustrating but it must be a setting somewhere that I am missing. Did not change anything last time when I installed the plugin.

Posted 1 year ago #Still no luck. I installed two plugins called 'lightbox' and 'thickbox' (i think that was the name of the 2nd one) and then deleted it again. since then i don't see the button anymore. the nextgen plugin works fine except that i can't see the button.

Posted 1 year ago #Just wanted to say that I couldn't find any documentation on getting an SSL to function properly with this plug in. I wrote a few lines that has made this possible. Would you be interested in viewing this code to possibly add it to your next update? I found tons of people desiring this functionality.

Posted 1 year ago #If I delete my Nextgen-gallery plugin will I delete and lose all the galleries I have previously added? I want to re-install the plugin and see if my problem goes away.

I'm trying to use the following plugins together: qTranslate, magic-fields and nextgen gallery. Each 2 of them works great, but when I activate all 3, I don't have the nextgen gallery icon (the gallery administration works great as always...)
Any idea???
