Hello, this is the first time i am using nextgen gallery. (2.0.58)
I have installed it on wp 3.8.1.
I am not able to upload images, because there is an HTTP ERROR.
The upload directory has the right (755) and in local it works.

Please do you know some solution?
    Thank you

@ekace – If your remote installation is a migration from your local environment you may need to manually re-install NextGEN Gallery via FTP and over-write all folders and files appropriately on your remote server if that is the case.

    Thanks!

    – Cais.

A few people have reported the upload issue now since 2.0.57 came out, myself included. A fix that doesn’t involve a manual re-install would be preferable, after all it’s not really identifying the problem.

Hello Cais, thank you for your reply.
I tried to install it in different ways without success. (i try also migration and over-write)
    The last test I did:
I unzipped wp 3.8.1 and upload it.
I unzipped Nextgen gallery 2.0.58 and upload it.
I activated the plugin (the only active).
When I try to create a gallery and upload a picture at the end of loading it gives me HTTP ERROR

The server is hosted on Aruba.it
Please if you have any suggestions to solve the problem I’d be grateful.
    regards

ps: if I do the same steps in local, the plugin works fine.

@ekace – We have seen your web host to have its own uniquely related issues with the most common being the use of the default standard WordPress Permalinks structure.

If you are using the default, please try something like “Post name” or “Month name” to see if the issue continues.

    Thanks!

    – Cais.

That’s not it, I’ve got a customer permalink structure and you still get the little triangle HTTP ERROR image when trying to upload. This was not a problem with 2.0.40 and only become one after the latest upgrade.

Hello, I changed the permalink structure.
Now I can create the gallery and upload images.
    But there are some problems.
When loading an image, the upload status remains at 0 or 79% and freezes.
I have to click, for example, on ‘manage galleries’ and I see that the image has been loaded.

During the loading process the status freezes, but actually the image is loaded.

    Thank you
    Best regards

@ispreview – So you will be starting your own topic as it is not the same as this one? That would be following the WordPress Forum policies.

@ekace – I’m happy to read you uploads are running better but the status message freezing still concerns me, do you still see the same thing when using a default WordPress Twenty series theme?

    – Cais.

    Hello Cais,
I changed the php.ini in my panel (There are several predefined customizations).
Now the ‘Nextgen gallery’ plugin, (using, in wp, a different structure that is not the default permalink) works properly!
(I have always used a default WordPress Twenty series theme).

Thank you very much for your precious and professional support.

What did you change in php.ini?

    Thread Starter ekace

    (@ekace)

Hello, you cannot directly change the php.ini.
I changed from the php.ini-optimized for wp, to standard php.ini.
With the standard php.ini it works well.

I’m not quite sure what you’re saying there. I can edit the php.ini files on my server but I want to know what settings are inside your file to see what change has solved your problem.
