    The BenchPresser

    As you all may have noticed, there has been a lot of issue with the NextGEN Gallery 2.0 release, and we are aware of it as well.

    We can’t guarantee that our current plugin will work well, if at all with NGG 2.0. However, we will do what we can. If your site relies on the front-uploading functionality, it will be best to stay with the 1.9 branch for the time being.

    If you want to help test and report issues with NGG 2.0, we have a GitHub repo for the plugin, located below. Feel free to post issues you see with the Public Uploader plugin with 2.0. If you don’t have a GitHub account, just post here on the forums and I’ll add the bug report myself.

  • I have a fresh install of WP (3.6) / BP (1.8.1) / NextGEN (2.0.17) / NextGEN PU (1.7.1) and havent had any issues so far. Great plug-in.

    I am trying to get NextGEN PU (1.7.1) to work with NextCellent Gallery (1.9.15).
    I have added echo do_shortcode('[ngg_uploader id=1]'); to my page and modified line 29 of the plugin so the path name reads
    'nextcellent-gallery-nextgen-legacy/nggallery.php'

    am I on the right track?

    Are there plans to modify the public uploader plugin to work with NextCellent Gallery?

    Edit: moved this post to its own topic.

    @esmi: thanks for the hint.

    Hello Michael,

    I am new to NextGEN and Public-Uploader. I just installed WP3.9 before I saw the note that Public-Uploader is only compatible through WP3.7. Can I expect to be able to run the extension in 3.9 or do I have to trash the installation and install an earlier version of WordPress?

    I have installed the upload widget on my test page and attempted to upload a few images, but nothing shows up in my dashboard for approval. Is this a compatibility issue, or am I looking in the wrong place?

    Any help or relevant documentation appreciated.

    Ellis
