next-gen gallery - How to Recover images and gallery files (5 posts)

I accidentally deleted the NextGen gallery plug-in. I had a backup of my site so I copied the "gallery" folder and its files to the wp-content directory. Then I copied the "nextgen-gallery" folder and files to the "wp-content/plugins directory. My images and galleries are not showing up on my wp site and in the Gallery admin panel, even after RESETTING NextGen. All of my files (images and galleries) are showing up in my ftp directories. I created one new gallery to see where it resides. It is residing with all of my other galleries that are not showing on my wp admin panel under nextgen.

Where are the files supposed to reside?
How can I get Nextgen to see them?

Me too! I need an answer for this as well.

I followed instructions from NextGen to trouble shoot gallery problems. The problem was NextGen.

    I deleted NextGen - what a mistake!

OMG! NextGEN is amazing! I found all my pictures.

I lost my Alt & Title Text/Descriptions for each photo. The tags were all still there though.

I also lost the title change & description for the gallery settings.

Yet - it's great to be able to import the photos!

@laptopmemo - You might want to make a new post in the NextGen forum - so they see your post
