    Hi, im using
[album id=1 template=extend] to display an album which is fine, but how do i use a template on the galleries within that album.
I’ve tried copying my template to gallery-extend.php and putting in view folder,I’ve even create an album template and gallery template in a nggallery folder within my theme but nothing works, the galleries always use the default template.

    thanks in advance

  • Yes a design flaw from my side, I can only say you should copy the default template for gallery into your theme folder and modify the template (so it’s not overwritten during an upgrade)

I will look into this to improve the feature

    Thanks Alex, that works perfectly..

I tried copying the Carousel template into my Theme’s nggallery folder and then renaming it simply “gallery.php” so that the Albums would display them using the carousel template. It almost worked.

The images are displaying correctly using the carousel template, with pagination. But when you navigate to the second page of the gallery, each thumbnail’s permalink to its larger image is broken.

This only happens with permalinks (pretty URLs) activated. Query string URLs work fine.
