   I'm working on a theme for a web comic. I want to have a navigation bar under each comic with 4 options, first, previous, next, and today. I have the basic layout set up, but I am having issues with the previous and next links. If there isn't a next or previous comic, the code doesn't make the links...what I would like to happen is have the text (non-linked) show up if there isn't a next or previous comic, and if there is, to use the links.

   Is there an easy way to make this happen?

   Well, for those that may have the need for something like this, I decided to hack up the next_post and previous_post functions and roll them into a plugin.

   As far as I'm aware, this is the only plugin of this sort for WordPress. If you're looking for something like this, point your browser at http://reciprocity.be/plr and grab a copy for yourself.
