Twenty Eleven. I used column-magic to establish columns but there isn't the definitive column separation. Mine is http://roundhousetalk.com.

I think that website (first linked) uses background images for the shadow, but you can make CSS box-shadows here and use that CSS into your website.
If you're not using a Child Theme or Custom CSS plugin, you're likely to lose your changes once the theme updates. It's also advised not to edit the default themes for debugging issues.
