   Hi,

   If I had a WordPress site that displayed all of the most recent post to the front page but also contained static pages which had content relevant to that particular page is there a way to display the news update from the static page to the front page?

   For example if I had a site that was dedicated to road transport which had static pages for cars and buses and I updated the cars section. Would it be possible to automatically announce this news update on the front page (without having to create a separate post)?

   Yes, it is possible to do it.
   You have to customize the front page design.
   Try to learn about The Loop.
