I really like the way profootballtalk.com is set up with post titles only. Is there a theme that shows post titles only in the center of the home page?

I don't know offhand of any theme that just displays the post titles on the blog/home page. The theme that I work mostly with, Montezuma, is highly customizable, and that would be very easy to implement without having to create a child theme. Once you install the Montezuma theme, go to Appearances > Montezuma Options and read the documentation under Main Templates, then Sub Templates. Then, under Sub Templates, click on postformat.php. That "virtual" PHP file controls the appearance of the posts that appear on the blog (index) page. Just clear out everything except the lines towards the top that outputs the post title (and keep the DIV for the post-id). Hopefully you have some knowledge of HTML so you will understand what you're looking at. Some basic knowledge of PHP would be nice, but not essential.
