Newbie: Subscriber Questions

    Hi,

    I am a newbie and I haven’t got a wordpress blog running. I have questions before I pay webhosters.

    1. Can WordPress invite NON-wordpress users to subscribe to my blog and leave comments?

    2. Can my blog send email updates to the subscribers every time I post something new?
