Greetings,
I'm new to WordPress and blogging and not especially technologically talented. So I've spent quite a few hours figuring out how to make WordPress work for me, and now it seems stuck at the starting gate.
My new blog/site is called Workingkind.com and it's hosted by Godaddy.com, where I've gone for a number of questions. (They were quite helpful.)
Right now, I've got WordPress up and even saw the template of a blog -- but it showed up at an inside page (called workingkind.com/wordpress/ and NEVER at the main home page). Now even that internal one seems to be messed up or gone.
My question is how to do I get WordPress to start going on my home page? I can't find the admin area or get an index page to work -- I tried using that short sweet code in index.php as recommended in another post here, and that didn't work.
Now when I call up the workingkind.com/wordpress/ page it gives me this error message:
Warning: require(./wordpress/wp-blog-header.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/content/v/i/c/vickieelmer/html/wordpress/index.php on line 5
Fatal error: require() [function.require]: Failed opening required './wordpress/wp-blog-header.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/php5/lib/php') in /home/content/v/i/c/vickieelmer/html/wordpress/index.php on line 5
I really need very simple, step by step, look in here and don't forget this simple basic thing kind of advice to get WordPress going on my home page.
Thank you so much in advance for your advice.
