    Hi.

After several failed contracts to get a website built for me, i decided to take the plunge and build one myself. With no programming or coding experience, i had a lot of reading as well as learning by trial and error to do.

After six weeks of self-education on wordpress, I finally have my very first self-designed site http://gbengaadebayo.com.

A big thank you to Syahir Hakim for a great free theme.

Please kindly help look at the site and let me know what you think.

    Thank you.

    Best regards,
    Dr Gbenga Adebayo

Excellent site - You've done well!

    Suggestions -
I noticed that your Leadership Category has no articles. When creating a new site it's often the case that you don't have all the content you need to actually launch it.

One thing you can do is visit EzineArticles.com to get content about leadership and find a few articles to help get your site started. It's perfectly acceptable to copy an article from the site as long as you include the resource box at the end giving the author credit for writing it and a link back to their site.

This is a great way to get content when you create new sites. As you add new posts it just pushes the old ones down lower and lower till you've filled up the page with your own original content.

    You've done well!

@Joe Shaw. Thank you very much! Will work harder on the articles. Once again thank you for your suggestions and kind words.

    Best regards

    Hey,

Looks very nice. I'm just passing through the same situation. I'm almost done with developing my site in wordpress (with 0 programming knowledge) and I'm loving to use word press each second. However, m badly stucked with an issue today when I changed my website theme :)

I hope I'll solve the problem today.

    Best of luck!

@Jucebone: seen your site. you also use graphene. one comment: think slideshows may be better not in the sidebar. you could create a page for them. I will also suggest that you start a new thread so more people can help you take a look at it and give you suggestions. Graphene theme also has a dedicated support forum you could read through for ideas as well as ask for held. Best of luck with your project.

@bsaemann: thank you for your kind words!

@hina_naqvi: Your site is lovely! I'm positive it will be successful. Best regards
