Newbie Question on "No Input File Specified" (2 posts)

Be gentle here... I really am a newbie!

I'm trying to host on Network Solutions, where I have the Unix package.

Had to FTP WP onto a sub, because NS won't permit adding directories at Root... so the software resides at http://www.notinkokomo.com/cgi-bin/wordpress.

When I try to run install.php at /cgi-bin/wordpress/wp-admin.... I get "No Input File Specified". The permissions all are R, and I've tried moving the files around to no avail.

I suspect something's not pointing to the right directory.

    Any help here?

Firstly, take WP out of the cgi-bin directory.

Second, if you have bought webspace you should be able to determine what you do with in (within reason) and what NS are saying sounds ridiculous. Totally stupid.

that okay ? Could you upload there and test ?
