    Just starting to use WordPress, and what a fantastic tool it is.

    I will be setting up a blog for the law firm I work for, but it will just be for us to give our views on what is happening in the law, and must never be used for giving anything that could be construed as legal advice. Doing that online is a litigation minefield! Because of that I need to remove the comments facility. If not the readers will want to comment, and that is when the difficulties could start. I know that I can disable comments, but it would be better for no reference to be made to them at all. Is it possible to do this?

    Yes, you can remove it. Just go into the index.php or any other theme file containing this code and remove:

    <?php comments_popup_link('No Comments', '1 Comment', '% Comments'); ?>
